SERVICES / GEOGRAPHIC NETWORKS (WAN)
Geographic networks (WAN)
Geographical networks (or WAN – “Wide Area Network”) are networks which – unlike LAN networks – do not extend within a restricted area but can cover geographic areas which are also very far apart.
Thanks to our collaborations with different industry partners, Limonta Informatica provides planning and configuration services for tailor-made, flexible WAN networks both for wired connections (ADSL, fibre optic etc.) as well as for wireless connections (Wi-Fi, satellite, radio links etc.).
These are the standard steps for the configuration of WAN networks
There are three fundamental phases of the configuration procedure for geographic networks:
- Site visit and analysis to identify the best solution starting with the geographic location (distance from the base, specific geographical conditions etc.)
- Bespoke planning of the network based on the results of the analysis
- Configuration and duplication of the lines (primary and back up lines) in order to guarantee the continuity of service under all conditions
